Graduate Building Surveyor

Location: Rutherglen

The Role

Our client is recruiting for a Graduate Building Surveyor to manage and coordinate the lifecycle and variation works on their existing client portfolio.

The successful candidate will also liaise with on-site FM managers and clients to coordinate the base works plans with the actual requirements.

The key responsibilities of a Graduate Building Surveyor include, but are not limited to:

* Undertaking building condition surveys and building defect diagnosis inspections.
* Preparing reports/Schedules of Dilapidations and Schedules of Condition/Including cost estimate & projections
* Preparing, managing and delivering the supply chain tender process including any necessary documents and schedules of work.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Graduate Building Surveyor:

* Recognised building / technical qualifications - degree level or equivalent, working toward APC.
* Candidates should have a technical knowledge of traditional and modern construction methods.
* Excellent written communication skills, IT literate on all Microsoft Office programmes, and competent in producing CAD drawings.
* Experience of working with senior teams within the consultant, construction or FM - PFI sector; developing strong customer relationships with key clients, and establishing and controlling project budgets and costs, throughout the term of a project.
* Contractual knowledge and understanding in project delivery, ensuring compliance with contract obligations.
* Motivated self-starter and ability to manage own workload and be an effective team player, highly organised and able to work under pressure, and a professional attitude and approach to work
