The Mo continues!
Our Branch Branch is continuing to grow their offering to the Movember cause and 3 weeks into the charitable event, all are sporting an interesting array of near nostril growth as you can see from the accompanying photos.
Dutton Essex: Cycling Proficiency
In line with our commitment to investing in the communities surrounding our offices; our Romford, Essex Office has, this month, committed to an initiative to support with cycling proficiency and road traffic awareness currently being taught to Schoolchildren across the Borough. Our sponsorship of this event is drawing together all schools in the Borough and the first initiative has been for us to engage with children and ask them to design a poster to advertise the scheme across the area. Are we ready?
As much of a fresh and difficult issue to approach, this subject has become it's better to mention sooner rather than later; the biggest change in recruitment legislation to affect the industry in the last few years has to be the implementation of the AWR (Agency Workers Regulation) on October 1st this year. Looking back on what will shortly be the second month of the implementation of the legislation we are drawn to ask "Are we ready"?.
New growth in West Yorkshire
Dutton International has a long standing reputation in Construction Recruitment in the West Yorkshire area and up until the early 2000's we had a prominent office in the area. Over time our strategy involved us moving the management of our West-Yorkshire operations to our flagship Sheffield Branch.
Then and now
So, as we sat yesterday eagerly looking forward to posting reams and reams of information about what's happening within the group and our industries on our brand new blog, we almost stumbled into a mental, momentary pause. It seems we have a lot to say but have hit writers block on just where to begin.
Cardiff Team does Movember
Following a recent annual tradition that has swept the U.K., our team in Cardiff have this week begun their own Movember challenge. Five of the Cardiff team have elected to see how far they can Mo in aid of Testicular Cancer research and are supporting the Institute of Cancer Research.
Local initiative for youngsters supported for another year running with our funding
This week we have been proud to once again pledge funds to the Sheffield Young Artists initiative organised by the local division of Rotary International.
