Roofing Labourer required to work at height with experienced roofers carrying out general labouring duties. Our client is a Local Authority Council, and the project is based in Haringey, North London. Previous experience working at heights is essential.
£18.30 per hour CIS/Umbrella/Ltd
THE ROLE:
* Labourer duties include delivery and preparing materials including cement and mortar.
* To carry out the full duties associated with the trade of a Labourer/Driver including:
* Carrying our deliveries normally within the borough.
* To assist with the transport to site and erect easy deck scaffolding to be used by others to carry out work and later return and safely dismantle and remove.
* Picking up any rubbish and tipping within the borough.
* Sweeping up/tidying sites and alike as directed by our supervisor.
* To carry out various labouring work for the repairs service.
* Complete daily pro forma and other forms and provide simple reports as required.
* Carry out work in accordance with agreed codes of safe working practice.
* Take all reasonable care when working in a tenant's property to protect the tenant's furniture and fittings and generally to comply with Customer Care Code.
* Wear safety clothing and equipment. (PPE)
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
* Hold a current CSCS card, (IPAF Desirable)
* Hold a valid driving licence. (Essential)
* Must have working knowledge of general labouring including concreting.
* Must wear safety clothing supplied by Local Authority Council
* Must work in a confined space under Flats Stairs and alike
* Participation in Emergency Standby Service as and when required
* Must be able to work off ladders and scaffolds
* Must be able to deal sympathetically with tenant's questions.
NOTE: This position requires the postholder to undergo a basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
