Job Summary
Dutton Recruitment are working in partnership with one of our valued clients to recruit for a Registered Manager for their solo occupancy service in Huddersfield. The service specialises in supporting 1 young people with complex mental health issues & Emotional and behavioural difficulties and the role of the Registered Manager is essential in overseeing it's success and achieving outcomes for the young person living there. The company you will be working for has a strong background in supporting young people across Yorkshire and they strive to make a real difference to all the young people they support. The homes take on long term placements only to allow the home to achieve long term outcomes. The company provide a safe and secure working environment with high staffing ratios to ensure that staff and young people are kept safe and that high standards of care are delivered.
Duties
* Inspire and manage the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained and the Ofsted standards are adhered to.
* Supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to promote professional development and teamwork.
* Ensure high-quality care, safety, and well-being of children.
* Lead, support, and supervise staff including a deputy, team leaders and support staff.
* Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the young people.
* Building strong community links, relationships with other outside agencies and the internal MDT team.
* Manage budgets and resources effectively.
* Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
* Adherence to all legislative guidelines in respect of Health & Safety and ensure that all staff have adequate working knowledge and training.
* Be part of the on call rota which is currently shared by the management team.
Experience
* Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a care home supporting young people, ideally with complex needs and EBD.
* Strong managers looking to take the next step would be considered and applications welcome.
* A minimum of 2 years experience as a Manager or deputy working within a young people's service.
* Experience in supervising staff and managing teams effectively.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage effectively with residents and their families.
* Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples workforce
* Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or the willingness to work towards it) and the ability to pass a FIT persons interview.
* Car driver and living within an hours drive of the home location.
