
Role & Responsibilities

Oversee the commercial aspects of London-based projects
*
Prepare and submit monthly Applications for Payment (AFP)
*
Manage project variations and implement effective change control procedures
*
Monitor and analyse monthly cost reports to prepare accurate month-end reports
*
Attend meetings as required to facilitate or finalise project accounts
*
Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks
*
Develop familiarity with standard contract forms, including but not limited to NEC3 and JCT
*
Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions with clients and contractors
*
Prepare subcontract agreements, assess subcontractor valuations, and certify interim and final payments
*
Optimise cash flow through diligent control, measurement, valuation of work, invoicing, and cash collection
*
Receive ongoing training and support to promote professional growth
*
Provide regular updates and reports to the Commercial Manager
Key Skills and Qualifications
*
Degree, HNC, or NVQ in Quantity Surveying (Preferred)
*
Minimum of 2 years' experience (Preferred)
*
Applicants without formal qualifications may also be considered
*
Understanding of electrical systems is beneficial but not essential
*
Strong proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel
*
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
*
Strong time management and organisational skills
*
Methodical approach and eagerness to learn proactively
*

£45000 - £55000 per annum + Pension, Private healthcare, Bonus scheme
