Dutton Recruitment are working in partnership with one of our clients to recruit for a passionate, forwards thinking and caring support worker/project worker to join their team in a unique opportunity. Our client has supported housing projects in Shirebrook (Mansfield), Rotherham, Chesterfield and Wath Upon Dearne - all of them supporting homeless individuals with varying needs. The organisation work extremely hard to support homeless men and women to get back on their feet and provide all of the tools and support needed to set them up on their way from support with life skills, gaining independence, budgeting, gaining employment or education opportunities, provide advise around tenancies and how to sustain and look after them, pastoral support and always person centered. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of 3 months paid experience in the UK in a support worker setting, providing advice, guidance and support to vulnerable people with varying needs. You must be kind, passionate, honest and driven and have full right to work in the UK without restrictions. Unfortunately my client can not offer sponsorship.

This role is to work 2 nights per week, ideally every Friday and every Saturday. Each shift will be 16 hours, starting at 4.30pm, working from 4.30- midnight, then sleeping in on site. Wake up at 6am and then 6-8.30am working and getting ready for handover to the day staff. You are paid for the whole 16 hours from 4pm - 8.30am the next day even though you will sleep from midnight. You would do the same then again on Saturday. The role is 32 hours per week but worked over 2 night shifts which I think is great! The person will need to be a car driver as you will work at Shirebrook but the second shift could be at Chesterfield/Rotherham/ or Wath Upon Dearne, if you were to drive to any of those sites to work you would of course be paid mileage at 40ppm. You base however would be classed as Shirebrook and any driving to other sites would be paid for. This role is on a temporary to permanent basis meaning that you would initially work for the first 12 weeks on a temporary basis through Dutton Recruitment, if all went well on week 13 you would then transfer over to our client and work for them on a permanent basis. The hours, role and salary would all stay the same as would the responsibilities. The role is also loan working but non of the clients have histories of sexual or violent recent offences and they do not house anyone who have ever committed arson or similar offences.

General roles and responsibilities:

* To ensure the health, safety, security and operational ability of the building and its residents.
* To work effectively as part of a team to achieve this.
* You will be involved in the selection process that identifies individuals suitable for a place at the project. This involves responsibility for applications, assessment interviews and the issues of occupancy offers, at all times ensuring that good practice and equality of opportunity is observed.

* Welfare checks i.e. checking on occupants during the day in their accommodation.
