We are looking a Plater for a permanent position based with our client in St Helens
Immediate starts available (Subject to the interview process)
Rate of Pay is £17.00 per hour for basic hours.
Responsibilities
* Fabrication and development of Steel Fabrication, Framework and Structural Steelwork/metal structures and components according to specifications.
* Operate workshop equipment including hand tools and power tools such as guillotines, drills, saws, punches and press brakes, safely and effectively.
* Fully understand and interpret engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication.
* Completion of quality procedures. Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to Health & Safety policies and procedures/protocols at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
* Provide guidance to Apprentices.
Skills
* Must be fully time served apprentice trained with a strong fabrication knowledge and experienced fabrication shop background.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to fabrication and welding.
* Proven fabrication competency skills and certification.
* Ability to assemble components accurately and efficiently.
* Experience in the welding of a variety of materials such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel & Aluminium would be an advantage.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work unsupervised and possess a logical and thorough approach to all aspects of H&S and production.
* Excellent Health & Safety awareness and experience
