Investing in our employees
4th December 2019
As the year is coming to a close, we have been reflecting on the successes the business has seen this year.
We are currently in a phase of exponential growth, smashing our targets and opening new branches to meet demand. Alongside this, we have seen significant European expansion, with lots of exciting projects lined up.
Of course, none of this could have been achieved without our fantastic team – who are always giving their all. Therefore, this seems the perfect time to keep pushing forward and really invest into our staff development.
To do this, we have appointed Dutton’s first Training and Development Officer – Vikki Callanan. Vikki says:
“I am delighted to have this opportunity with Dutton Recruitment as I join the team for this exciting new role. I bring with me over 18 years of experience in Recruitment, HR & Training, across a broad range of business sectors coupled with sheer enthusiasm and determination to succeed.”
Here at Dutton, we have great staff retention as you can see from our Meet the Team page – with multiple staff having been here for over 20 years!
However, with expansion comes new recruits and it’s important to us that we can continue to offer a successful career with Dutton, not just a job. Hear what Vikki has got planned:
“This is a great opportunity at a very exciting time as Dutton continues to grow, open new branches and see both new and existing teams expand. An integral part of my role is to support and train staff every step of the way. There will be a key focus on the positive and influential on-boarding of new team members alongside the coaching and development of existing employees to achieve their goals."
"I will also be implementing a training programme that not only looks at the here and now but will continue to grow with the business. Furthermore, I will be supporting business areas with their internal recruitment; continuing to recruit exceptional individuals into our teams.”
We’re excited to see these new plans implemented following her initial research and planning, we can’t wait for the training plans to get started in the new year. Afterall, it’s vital for us that through this growth our service remains at the high standard we have created over the past 37 years.
Not only this, but we aim for a group of happy, successful employees that can focus on their professional development and grow as we do.
Keep an eye out for further updates on Vikki’s plans and what this will mean for Dutton!
