Dutton in the Community

It is no secret that here at Dutton Recruitment we understand the importance of charity and working for the community. Throughout our history we have always had a close link to multiple charities, and have always ensured we take a proactive approach to raising money and making change.

After an extremely successful year at Dutton Recruitment, we decided to round it off with a few extra special charitable ventures.

It began at the beginning of the month, when our Directors took part in the Bush Tucker Challenge in support of OPERA Foundation’s Big Give campaign. This charity works to help disadvantaged young people into employment, and over 85% of those helped by them go on to stay in employment long-term. Next, we visited the Children's Ward of Queens Hospital Romford, to donate money to help buy the children toys this Christmas. It was a truly rewarding experience to not only meet the children and be shown the difference things like toys can make to their time at the hospital, but also to witness first-hand the incredible work of the staff there. Carrying on a similar charitable theme, we then visited the Sheffield Children's Hospital. Not only have we donated money for toys for the children this Christmas, but we have also made various donations throughout this year to help support this world-leading hospital. Donations to the Children's Hospital Charity can fund: research into the prevention and cure of childhood illnesses, new facilities to extend the range of treatment provided, improvements to the hospital environment to benefit patients, families and visitors, and specialist medical equipment. It has definitely been a busy period for us, and has been extremely rewarding to give something back to those in need. However, it is crucial to remember that these causes, and charity in general, is important throughout the year and not just at Christmas time - “A Children’s Ward is not just for Christmas”, as one employee aptly said. Because of this, we constantly strive to be involved in charity, and make it a central part of our business message to take a proactive approach all year round.
